REASON FOR RECALL: Weakness detected in the weld between the hinge and the down tube of the bicycle frame.
WHAT TO DO: Stop using the bicycle immediately and contact an authorized Eovolt/UTO dealer.
COMPENSATION: Frame replacement or a preferential discount on a new Eovolt/UTO bicycle.
Dear Users,
As part of our ongoing commitment to the safety of our customers, the UTO team has decided to initiate a voluntary recall of certain Eovolt Afternoon Twenty V0 models.
This measure aims to prevent a potential manufacturing defect in a frame weld.
The recall concerns some 20-inch models equipped with a suspension fork, sold from March 7, 2022 onwards.
We therefore ask our users to follow the detailed instructions below to determine whether their product is affected by this measure.
If this is the case, please stop using your bicycle immediately and visit your UTO/Eovolt dealer to choose the most suitable solution among the two options offered.

How can I tell if my bike is affected?
You are not affected if:
- UTO model.
- 16-inch or 24-inch model (Morning or Evening).
- bike from the PRO range.
- Afternoon ORIGINS is originally equipped with a rigid fork.
- Afternoon ORIGINS before March 7, 2022.
Each frame can be identified by a serial number located under the bottom bracket, as shown in the illustration.
You are affected if:
- Eovolt Afternoon Twenty V0.
- engraved serial number is between 31792210820000 and 31792210822800 (inclusive).
What should I do if my bike is affected?
If you have identified that your bike is affected by the product recall, stop using it immediately and contact your dealer.
At that point, you will have two options available to you:
Solution 1 – Free frame replacement
If you are affected by the product recall, please visit your dealer to register your bike. We will collect your bike directly from the store, replace the frame at our factory, and then return it to your dealer. All other components of your original bike will be retained and will not be changed. You will then be invited to pick up your bike, now equipped with a brand-new frame*.
The estimated manufacturing and delivery time is 1 to 2 months.
Compensation:
Replacing the frame will fully restart the warranty. In addition, we are offering -50% on our website for an accessories order. To take advantage of this, please email recall@utobikes.com and include your name, email address, and the serial number of your bike.
*Please note that your frame will primarily be replaced with a black frame to streamline the processing of your reques
Solution 2 – Special offer on a new bike
If you are affected by the product recall, you can benefit from a special 40% discount on the purchase of a new bike from the Eovolt or UTO range.
We will collect your affected bike directly from your dealer. Once it has been received at our facility, we will ship the new model you selected to the same dealer, where you can then pick it up.
This solution allows for delivery within 15 business days in France and within a few weeks across Europe.
It is exclusively available to owners of bikes affected by the recall.
Special situations:
- Your store has closed or you purchased your bike online: You can still benefit from the available options. Please contact a partner store using our dealer map and explain your situation to them.
If the store refuses to handle your request, please contact us again at recall@utobikes.com. - You live abroad: If no store is available in your area, please write to us at recall@utobikes.com so that we can explore possible remote assistance solutions.
